Okay, I am originally from New York and this seriously MIGHT be better than New York pizza! If not, it's a tie!!! This pizza is SO GOOD!!!!! It's also priced like old school pizza place prices! Two slices and a bottled drink for $5.50, you can't beat that!!!!! I have not had pizza this good in years! It is perfectly crunchy, cheesy and delicious!!! The crust is crispy but not rock hard or chewy! The staff were super friendly and helpful and it's in a great location! If you are wanting pizza GO HERE!!! It'll be the best decision you make today!!!
I also got a slice of their cheesecake and it was wonderful too!!! This place is the best!!!

Wow, total lack of professionalism, condescending and rude...

I've patronized HHP for 30+ years and they've gone down hill in quality and service since switching owners or whatever happened a couple years ago, but being a faithful neighborhood joint, I still gave them my business,

That all ended tonight with a phone call from them after placing an order for delivery.

Someone called me and felt entitled to whine at me because I dared ask for extra lettuce pickles and hot pepper ON ThE SIDE,  options presented to me while constructing my order on their Website.

I was berated for choosing standard options  and then asked how much I think I should pay ...

    For the lettuce?!?! Seriously????

I'd generously give you $2 for pickles and hots and the whole 3 cents of extra lettuce

And now I'll give you absolutely nothing for your horrifically bad attitude and negligible customer service!

I told them to just cancel my order.

Harvard House of Pizza is a good, reliable neighborhood pizzeria. I used to go all the time when I was in grad school here and was glad to find it in the same spot making the same food when I returned to Cambridge this year.

Pros: Harvard House of Pizza is conveniently located, fairly priced for the area and service is fast. The menu is pretty standard for a pizzeria--pizza, salads, and different fried appetizers. They also sell pizza by the slice. The food is usually consistent and I can always count on them for my favorite items--a pepperoni pizza and fried wings.

Cons: The pizza can get a bit weighed down if you get too many toppings on it. It can also be a little greasy, especially if you need to reheat it.

Bottom line: Good neighborhood spot, definitely one of the better pizza places in the area.

Very unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this negative review. It's unfortunate because the pizza from Harvard House of Pizza is very good and my family enjoys it. However, their delivery service is abysmally poor and their management is astonishingly even worse. I have ordered many times from this restaurant over the last few years, and every time I do, their delivery service gets worse. So far I've shrugged it off because the pizza is worth it. Today's experience puts a definitive end to that. I ordered two large pizzas on a Tuesday night and waited over an hour and a half for them. They were guaranteed to arrive within a 45 min window. I called three times and kept being told that they were busy but that my delivery would be next. The final time I called I asked to speak to the manager and asked for a refund. After waiting five minutes to speak to the manager because he was avoiding me because he knew I'd already called twice asking about my delivery, the manager proceeded to tell me I live a long way away from them, and they were busy, and they couldn't find my address, that I should have ordered earlier in the evening...50 excuses all penalizing the customer and not taking responsibility for the fact that they simply did not deliver when they promised to. Finally he admitted that they were simply overwhelmed and only have one delivery guy. Seriously, just take responsibility, give a refund, and hire another delivery guy. *OR* do not accept orders from zip codes that are outside your service area. Know your limitations. But for heaven's sake, do NOT blame the customer, do NOT take their money if you cannot service them, and if you make a mistake, simply make it right. Their behavior was simply unethical and outrageous.

Terrible. Customer. Service. Absolutely the most rude staff ever. Late delivery and pushed blame on the customer. Do yourself a favor and order from a hundred other options that are available to you.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOIR BUSINESS, trust me.
